500 Years Later: Why the Reformation Still Matters
On January 3, 1518, Martin Luther was excommunicated from the Catholic Church for nailing his 95 Theses to the door of the Catholic church and standing up for the truth of the Gospel: that Scripture Alone attests to our salvation by Faith Alone in Christ Alone by Grace Alone to the Glory of God Alone. These began known as Luther’s 5 solas. On this 500th anniversary of the greatest moment of reformation within the Christian Church, we will dig into Luther’s ‘5 Solas’ and ask: How is the church in need of reformation now? How may my faith be reformed?
