Contribute to Online Christmas Eve Worship

The Kingstowne Communion is offering online Christmas Eve worship this year at 10am, 5pm, 8pm, and 11:45pm, and we hope that these services can be filled with the faces and voices of our entire church community! See all of our services by visiting kingstownecommunion.net/christmas.

For this reason, we would like to invite all of you into two different corporate ways of participating in our Christmas Eve services:

1. Our Kingstowne Silent Night Choir
2. A Line-by-Line Reading of the Christmas Story in Luke

“Silent Night” Choir Instructions

1. Wear headphones and listen and sing along to this YouTube video of “Silent Night”.
2. Video record yourself singing along on a different device from the one you are listening from, so that on the video recording we only hear your lovely voice!
3. Upload your video to this Google Drive by 10pm on Wed, December 16th. 
4. The YouTube video provides the sheet music for you, but if you want a paper copy, you can also find one in the Google Drive above.
5. Again, make sure you wear headphones, and sing along to this video and this video only (for purposes of tempo and key).
6. Record horizontally so that the video takes up the whole screen.
7. Anyone is welcome! If you know the song and enjoy singing it at Christmas time, join us! You don’t have to be a soloist to participate.
8. Feel free to get creative with harmonies if you’d like!
9. Don’t worry too much about sound levels. A smartphone mic will do just fine.
10. Remember, your “Silent Night” choir videos are due by this upcoming Wednesday, December 16th at 10pm!

Line-by-Line Reading of the Christmas Story Instructions

1. Sign-up for a verse of the Christmas Story in Luke. We have small lines available for our younger church members who cannot read well and may need a shorter verse. All ages welcome!!!
2. Video record yourself saying your verse.
3. Record horizontally so that the video takes up the whole screen.
4. Upload your video to this Google Drive folder by 10pm on Sat, December 19th. 
5. Rename your file with your name.
6. Watch our online Christmas Eve service for the final product!
