Common Tables

Common Tables
September 21, 2015 Terri Phillips

Being a Christian is something we do more than just once a week on Sunday morning.  Living the life of faith and sharing love with a world in need is something that we have to work at every day.  And, the journey towards God often requires support and encouragement from friends who are on that same journey.

Our small groups, called Common Tables at the Kingstowne Communion, are gatherings of 5-15 people that meet outside of Sunday morning worship in homes, usually bi-weekly, for food, faith, and friendship. Common Tables provide an opportunity for community in which we encourage each other to grow in faith through sharing our stories within God’s larger story. We share a meal together, read Scripture together, pray together, and laugh together. Common Tables are the No. 1 opportunity for growth and community beyond the larger Sunday worshiping body.
