"You Deserve It" | Acts 19:21-41 | Michelle Matthews
We live in what many call a “secular age,” yet our lives are crowded with rituals, rules, and altars. We hustle at work, obsess over our kids, curate our image online, pour ourselves into politics, wellness, romance, and more. Join us this summer as we explore how good things - our career, parenting, romance, technology, leisure, politics, etc - quietly become “little religions," places we go to feel justified, worthy, and okay, expose the hidden laws of “do more, be better” that exhaust us, and uncover how Jesus meets us right there with something radically different: grace.
The goal is not to reject work, family, or public life, but to be freed from using them as scorecards, to learn what it means to rest in Christ’s verdict instead of chasing our own, and to live with lighter hearts, deeper joy, and more compassion for one another in a performance-obsessed world.
